CodeHouse works on high-stakes problems where experience genuinely changes the outcome — platforms that cannot fail, migrations under pressure, and organisations navigating the gap between good intentions and production-grade outcomes.

One Software Architecture Scalable, maintainable systems with clear domain boundaries. From greenfield platforms to mission-critical legacy modernisation.
Two Technical Leadership Fractional CTO engagement. Engineering culture, team structure, and strategic decisions that outlast the sprint.
Three Requirements Analysis Translating complex business needs into precise, implementable specifications — the work that prevents expensive rewrites.
Four AI Implementation Production-ready AI integration, not prototypes. Systems grounded in engineering discipline, built to be maintained.
Five System Integration Multi-system data flows and API design for enterprise and regulated environments, including government and finance.
Six Development Hands-on delivery when it counts — Java, Spring, microservices — guided by the same architectural care as the systems we design.
Perspective

"The hardest problems aren't technical. They're organisational, political, and human. Good architecture solves all three at once."

— Markus Karileet, CodeHouse
About

CodeHouse is the independent practice of Markus Karileet, a solution architect with close to twenty years designing the systems that run Estonia's digital state — platforms processing hundreds of millions in public funds, serving millions of citizens, where failure carries real consequences.

The practice focuses on high-complexity engagements where seniority changes the outcome. Alongside client work, Markus contributes through university teaching, open-source tooling, and direct writing on AI implementation in production environments.
